The photo album goes from west to east. All pictures taken 22 June 2002. Here on page 1 of the photo album the pictures go from Glenwood Springs to west of Hanging Lake.

Looking eastbound from the pedestrian overpass at the west portal of the tunnels. The blur in the lower part of the picture is a chain link fence I was shooting through.

Old US 6-24 in the Horseshoe Curve section of the highway. It has been abandoned as a road since the No Name tunnels were built in 1965. It now serves as part of the recreation trail.

On the recreation trail east of No Name.

Another view east of No Name, this time eastbound on I-70.

A third view east of No Name, looking east from the recreation trail.

Looking from the recreation trail north along Grizzly Creek toward the north canyon wall. The upper viaduct is the main lanes of I-70 while the lower viaduct is the road that connects the rest area to the east interchange ramps.

Eastbound east of Grizzly Creek. The retaining wall at left is for the westbound lanes.

Rafters launching just downstream of the Shoshone Power Plant. There is a specially-built launch area at the edge of the river with parking available. Note that of the water you see flowing in the river, all of it has just exited the power plant just to the left of the picture.

Looking east underneath the twin I-70 viaducts as they fly over the Shoshone Power Plant. The people at the railing on the right at looking down at the river at the raft launch area.

Looking east east of the Shoshone Power Plant. The Colorado River is dry because at the time the picture was taken the entire river flow was being diverted through the Shoshone diversion tunnel.
